What is Animal Communication?

Everyone has the ability to connect intuitively with animals, and many people strengthen this ability through practice. Animal communication, also called telepathy or interspecies telepathic communication, is often described as communication between minds by means other than the traditional five senses. Dictionary.com defines telepathy as “communication between minds by some means other than sensory perception.”

You may have experienced moments like thinking about someone just before they call or text, or noticing your dog waiting at the door shortly before you arrive home. Many people view experiences like these as examples of telepathic or intuitive connection.

Because interspecies telepathic communication does not rely on physical proximity, a photo is not required. Setting the intention to connect with your specific animal is similar to dialing their cell phone number. Location does not matter, so I am able to connect with your animal whether they are nearby, in another location, or have crossed over.

This includes all species such as cats, dogs, birds, fish, horses, reptiles, and more. The information received may come in the form of pictures, words or short phrases, emotions, physical sensations, tastes, aromas, or information that is simply “known.”

Animal communication may include everyday topics such as preferences, routines, behaviors, favorite activities, emotional experiences, relationships with people and other animals, or responses to changes such as bringing a new animal into the home, moving, travel, veterinary visits, illness, or end-of-life transitions.

In a Soul Level Animal Communication® session, the conversation may also explore deeper themes within your relationship with your animal, including perspectives or insights your animal wishes to share.

What is Soul Level Animal Communication®?

Soul Level Animal Communication® is an intuitive exchange of information between a human and another animal that explores deeper aspects of the relationship and the soul. The soul is the spiritual part of us and our animals that continues beyond physical death.

In addition to questions you would like to ask your animal, a Soul Level Animal Communication® session explores deeper themes within your relationship with your animal. This may include insight into growth, healing, understanding, or perspectives your animal wishes to share, along with reflections that may support greater awareness and connection.

The Soul Level Animal Communication® method was developed by animal communicator Danielle MacKinnon. I was trained in her  method.

What kinds of questions can I ask?

You are welcome to ask any type of question you wish.

Common topics include:
behavior changes
emotional well-being
relationships with people or other animals
transitions or changes within the household
adjusting to a move, travel, or a new family member or animal
rescue or adoption adjustment
preferences, routines, or favorite activities
end-of-life concerns or support during illness
connection with an animal who has crossed over

What if my animal does not answer my questions directly?

Animals sometimes respond differently than we expect. They may focus on what feels most important to them rather than answering questions in a direct or linear way. Information may come through as feelings, images, memories, themes, or impressions rather than simple yes-or-no answers. Part of the process is remaining open to the perspective your animal wishes to share.

What if something you share doesn't resonate with me?

Please let me know. Animal communication is an intuitive process filtered through my own perception, and sometimes I may misread or misinterpret what comes through. If something doesn't feel right, I'll ask your animal for clarification. Your feedback during the session helps make it more meaningful for both of you. It's also worth noting that sometimes information that doesn't immediately make sense becomes clearer after the session as you reflect on it or revisit your recording.

What is the difference between a 25 minute and a 55 minute Soul Level Animal Communication® Session?

The short answer is time. The 55-minute session allows more space for conversation, additional questions, deeper exploration, or communication with two animals.

Both the 25-minute and 55-minute sessions include intuitive communication with your animal(s), insight into your relationship together, and the opportunity to explore deeper themes or Soul Lesson® perspectives that may emerge during the session.

Can animal communication help me make decisions about my animal's care?

Animal communication can offer insight into your animal's experience, feelings, and perspective, which may help inform your thinking. Ultimately though, all decisions about your animal's care remain yours. I am here to support understanding, not to make decisions for you.

Are outcomes guaranteed?

No. Each animal is a sovereign being with their own will. What they are open to doing, changing, or receiving is always their choice. Sessions are held with care and intention, but outcomes depend on your animal and the dynamics of your relationship, making every session unique.

Do I need to believe in animal communication for a session to be meaningful?

Accepted Answer

No. You do not need to fully believe in animal communication for a session to be meaningful. Many people come to their first session feeling curious, uncertain, or cautiously open.

Animal communication is an intuitive experience, and each session unfolds differently depending on the animal, the questions asked, and what feels important for the animal to share at that time.

I encourage you to approach the session with an open mind and a willingness to reflect on the experience afterward.

These sessions are intended to offer insight, perspective, connection, and support. They are not a substitute for veterinary, medical, behavioral, legal, or mental health care, and they are not intended to provide guaranteed outcomes or certainty about major life decisions.

Do I need to be present with my animal during the session?

No. Your animal does not need to be physically with you during the session. Because animal communication is intuitive rather than dependent on physical proximity, sessions can take place whether your animal is nearby, at another location, or in spirit.

Can I communicate with an animal who has passed away?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Many people seek animal communication after the death of an animal companion for comfort, reassurance, connection, or unresolved questions. Sessions with animals in spirit are approached with the same care and respect as sessions with living animals.

Is animal communication a substitute for veterinary care?

Accepted Answer

No. Animal communication is not a substitute for veterinary care, medical diagnosis, behavioral training, or professional treatment.

Animal communication may offer insight into your animal’s experiences, emotions, preferences, or perspective, but it should be used as a complementary form of support rather than a replacement for qualified veterinary or behavioral care.
