A Caring Conversation is a supportive space to talk about what you are experiencing with your animal before, during, or after their physical passing.
You may want to share stories and memories, talk through difficult decisions, process grief, discuss fears or guilt, or simply speak openly with someone who understands the depth of the human-animal bond.
Some people also come looking for resources, ideas for honoring their animal, or support as they prepare for an upcoming transition.
There is no right or wrong way to use the time.
There is no right time.
Some people schedule before their animal passes because they are facing difficult decisions, anticipatory grief, or want support during hospice or end-of-life care.
Others schedule shortly after their animal’s passing or even many years later when grief resurfaces or they realize they never had the opportunity to fully share their story.
Whether it has been one day or decades, your grief and your relationship with your animal matter.
No. A Caring Conversation is not psychotherapy, counseling, or mental health treatment.
I offer compassionate listening, emotional support, and resources from the perspective of someone who understands the profound bond between humans and animals.
If you are experiencing severe depression, trauma, thoughts of self-harm, or need mental health treatment, please contact a licensed mental health professional.
The session is guided by what feels most important to you.
You may want to:
share memories or stories
talk about end-of-life decisions
process grief, guilt, fear, or uncertainty
discuss ways to honor your animal
ask for resources or support ideas
sit quietly and reflect
cry, laugh, or simply be heard
There is no expectation to “do it right.”
All species are welcome.
People often seek support for dogs and cats, but I also work with those grieving horses, birds, rabbits, reptiles, farm animals, wildlife connections, and other beloved animal companions.
Love and grief are not limited by species.
Crying is completely welcome.
Grief affects everyone differently, and many people hold far more emotion than they realize until they begin talking about their animal.
You do not need to apologize for tears, emotions, silence, or needing a moment to pause.
There is no correct timeline or “right way” to grieve.
Some people feel numb. Some cry constantly. Some feel relief after a long caregiving journey. Others are surprised by how deeply the loss affects their daily life, identity, routines, or sense of home.
Grief can come in waves and often changes over time.
You do not need to justify the depth of your love or the impact of your loss.
Unfortunately, pet grief is sometimes minimized or misunderstood by others, even though the bond with an animal can be as deep and life-changing as any human relationship.
Many people feel isolated after losing an animal because they hear things like “it was just a pet” or feel pressure to move on quickly.
Your grief is real. Your relationship mattered.
You deserve support and space to honor the significance of that connection in whatever way feels meaningful to you.
This is one of the most common and painful parts of loving an animal through illness, aging, or decline.
Many people worry they acted too soon, waited too long, missed something important, or made the wrong decision. Even when a decision was made with deep love and care, it is still common to replay moments afterward and question yourself.
A Caring Conversation offers space to talk openly about these feelings without judgment. Sometimes it helps simply to share the full story with someone who understands how complex and heartbreaking these decisions can be.
No.
People from many different backgrounds, beliefs, and spiritual perspectives seek pet loss support.
The most important thing is simply having a space where your relationship with your animal is honored and your grief is respected.
No.
A Caring Conversation is primarily a supportive space for you to share, reflect, process grief, discuss end-of-life concerns, or seek resources and support related to your animal’s illness, transition, or passing.
Animal communication is a separate service focused on intuitively connecting with your animal and sharing information from their perspective.
Some people choose only a Caring Conversation. Others prefer to include animal communication as part of their support experience.
Yes.
If you would like intuitive communication with your animal in addition to emotional support and conversation, you may schedule the Pet Loss Support Package or contact me about combining services in a way that best supports you and your animal.
Some people feel called primarily to talk and process their experience. Others also want the opportunity to hear from their animal directly.
Grief affects far more than the mind.
Many people navigating illness, caregiving, anticipatory grief, or the physical passing of an animal experience exhaustion, emotional overwhelm, difficulty sleeping, anxiety, or a sense of being emotionally and energetically depleted.
The included Dolphin–Whale Energy session may be directed toward you, your animal, or shared support for both, depending on what feels most helpful and supportive during this time.
Many people find energetic support calming and restorative during deeply emotional experiences. Many animals also appear calmer, more relaxed, or more settled during or after sessions.
The intention is not to “fix” grief, illness, or difficult emotions, but rather to offer additional support, comfort, grounding, and calming for you and/or your animal during a difficult season.
No.
Animal Communication, Caring Conversations, and Dolphin–Whale Energy Therapy are offered as supportive services intended to help people feel more connected, supported, informed, and emotionally held during times of illness, transition, grief, or uncertainty.
While many people find these sessions meaningful, comforting, calming, or insightful, I cannot guarantee specific outcomes, healing, behavioral changes, medical recovery, certainty about decisions, or information regarding the timing of death.
These services are not a replacement for veterinary, medical, mental health, or emergency care.
Yes.
Many people seek support while their animal is seriously ill, aging, approaching transition, or after receiving a difficult diagnosis.
These conversations can provide space to process emotions, think through plans and options, discuss quality-of-life concerns, and reflect on how you want to spend the time you still have together.
Yes. One additional family member or loved one closely connected to the animal may attend the session with you.
Please let me know ahead of time if someone else plans to participate so I can create a supportive space for everyone involved.
You may request a recording of the session for your personal and private use.
Many people find recordings comforting because grief can make it difficult to fully absorb conversations in the moment. Listening again later often brings additional reflection, comfort, or insight.
No special preparation is required.
Some people like to gather photos, memories, questions, journals, or keepsakes beforehand.
Others simply arrive as they are.
You are welcome to bring whatever feels supportive and meaningful to you.
Yes.
If helpful, I can share ideas and resources related to memorials, ceremonies, legacy projects, cremation or burial options, pet loss books, support groups, quality-of-life tools, and other forms of support.
No.
The package is designed as a holistic support experience, but I understand not everyone feels drawn to energy work.
If you would prefer a different combination of services, please contact me and we can discuss options that feel supportive and aligned for you.
After purchasing the package, you will be guided through scheduling each included session through Calendly.
The package includes:
a 55-minute Animal Communication session
a 45-minute Caring Conversation
a 30-minute Dolphin–Whale Energy session for you, your animal, or shared support
The scheduling process walks you step-by-step through booking the included services, but the actual session dates do not need to occur in a particular order. Sessions may be spaced out or scheduled in whatever timing feels most supportive for you, your animal, and your situation.
Some people schedule sessions close together during times of crisis or transition. Others prefer more space between sessions as emotions and circumstances unfold over time.
Caring Conversations provide a supportive space to talk about what you and your animal are experiencing during times of illness, aging, anticipatory grief, end-of-life decision-making, or after a loss.
These conversations may include:
sharing your story and experiences
exploring emotions, fears, or concerns
reflecting on quality-of-life questions
preparing for goodbye
processing grief and adjustment after a passing
discussing the bond and relationship you share with your animal before and after their death
reflecting on euthanasia and end-of-life decisions
considering ways to honor your animal through memorials, rituals, cremation, burial, or meaningful belongings
creating space for reflection, support, and compassionate presence
Some people seek support while actively facing difficult decisions, while others simply want a caring space to talk, process, and feel heard.
There is no set agenda or “right” way for the conversation to unfold. Each experience is unique and guided by what feels most important and supportive in the moment.
My role is to offer compassionate presence, emotional support, and space for reflection as you navigate a deeply personal experience with your animal.
